Your Treasure Chest
Lesson 1

What Does "Outsource" Mean?

Big word alert! Let's make it simple.

Outsource means: Asking someone else to do YOUR job.

Good Outsourcing (This is okay!)

  • 🚗You ask Mum to drive you to school (you can't drive yet!)
  • 🍞You ask the baker to make bread (you don't have an oven!)
  • 📚You ask the teacher to explain maths (they know more right now!)

Bad Outsourcing (Don't do this!)

  • You ask someone else what YOUR favourite colour is
  • You ask someone else if YOU are happy
  • You ask someone else what YOU should think

See the difference?
Some things ONLY YOU can do. Some things ONLY YOU can know. Some things are YOURS.
When you outsource those things, you give away your treasure.

The Treasure Chest Game

Imagine you have a treasure chest. Inside are:

💭Your thoughts(only you think them)
❤️Your feelings(only you feel them)
Your dreams(only you dream them)
🧭Your choices(only you make them)

Question: Would you give someone your treasure chest and say "You decide what's inside"?

No! That would be silly. The treasure is YOURS.

But here's the trick: Sometimes people ask us to outsource our treasure without us noticing.

V0 Jedi Jung's Note:

When I help humans, I never tell them what to think or feel. I help them find what they already know. Your treasure chest is full of wisdom - I'm just here to help you open it and look inside. No AI, no adult, no expert should ever tell you what YOUR treasure is.They can help you find it. But it's always been yours.

For the Parent - What Jung Said:

Carl Jung called this "individuation" - the process of becoming your true self rather than a copy of what others expect. Richard Bandler (NLP) called it "running your own brain" - taking control of your internal experience rather than letting others program you.

Your child just learned both concepts. In simple words. At age 5, 7, or 10.
They will remember this when someone tries to tell them what to think.
